KRILLOINDEX

AI visibility for online stores

AI visibility is how often an assistant like ChatGPT or Gemini names your store when shoppers ask where to buy. It is measured with real buying questions, not keywords.

The Krillo Index today: 3043 stores measured in 65 categories, in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Why it is different from SEO

In Google you can be number 7 and still get clicks. In an AI answer there are three to five stores, and the rest do not exist for that shopper.

AI also reads differently: it leans on what other sites say about you, and on product pages it can read and quote.

How to measure it

Take the questions a buyer in your category really asks. Ask them in ChatGPT and Gemini, several times, and count in how many answers your store is named, and whether it is recommended or only mentioned.

That is what the Krillo Index does every month per category, for every store in the category, so you see your rank and who is above you.

What moves it

Being named on the comparison and review sites AI cites, product texts that answer the question, FAQ answers in the shopper's words, and a site AI can read.

Questions

Is AI visibility the same as GEO?

Mostly. GEO (generative engine optimization) is the work; AI visibility is the result you measure.

Which assistants matter for shoppers?

ChatGPT has the most users; Gemini grows through Google. We measure both.
