What this checks
Every AI assistant sends its own robot to read websites. Your robots.txt file tells each robot whether it may come in. Many stores block these robots without knowing it: a security plugin, a theme default, or a setting someone switched on years ago. Then ChatGPT or Gemini cannot read your products, and cannot recommend them.
We read your robots.txt and your homepage, the same way the robots do, and check the robots that matter for shoppers: ChatGPT's search robot, the one that opens a page when someone asks about it, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Apple. We also look for a security wall that stops robots before they reach your pages.
Blocking training is not the same as blocking search
Some robots collect pages to train AI models (like GPTBot). Blocking those is a fair choice and does not stop ChatGPT from recommending you. Blocking the search robots (OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, PerplexityBot) does.
